Looking down at the monastery from the Gorros

There is a tram that goes up to the monastery. It links up to the train. There is a train station directly behind where this photo was taken.

The South face of the Cavall Bernat is literally just the tip of the iceberg. The intimidating NE face extends for several hundred feet below the horizon.

This photo shows the St Joan Funicular (in the center) and the two stations. The Santa Cova Funicular goes the wrong way (down the hill). You want the hidden St Joan Funicular (the smaller looking building just below center).

An all English language guide for the area. It's not the best guide book due to the lack of to scale maps and maps without directional arrows but one gets use to its idiosyncracies. Have to appreciate the flowery language too.
