Hmmm, a possible reason is Vegas is a 24/7 city, and many locals tend to work crazy hours, crazy shifts, and end up doing crazy things till the wee hours of the morning, and maybe can't think, or plan that far ahead of time. I've noticed (with my Vegas friends, anyway)that it's much easier to grab us by the arm, and force us into submission in person, at the spur of the moment, than to make plans ahead of time via phone, text or e-mail(although, I'm not talking about climbers, except me ; ) ). Another possible reason is the high number of personality disorders that Vegas attracts; you almost have to be a little gamey to enter into certain clicks, but once you're in, you're in for life, or death, and end up buried in the desert. Pretty pathetic, huh? Kidding on the desert burial though, well sort of. Plus, this is summer, although you say you see locals out, especially at Charleston, right? I don't know. John Hegyes, and I are off Tuesday, and Wednesday, although we mostly do moderate multi-pitch and/or go out of town. Rarely sport, and with me, never really have done hard sport or gyms. You're looking for Saturday- Monday, eh? I wish I knew the answer, David.
