Wasn't the first one billed or called "Once in a lifetime"? Layton has serious health problems and needs to raise money to pay for medical expenses. His show at Macky Auditorium at CU last September was billed "An Evening With Layton Kor." Kor was unable to stand at the lectern and had to stay seated during his presentation. Hope you don't wind up in Layton's situation in 50 years, FUNGUY -- you won't have any legend status to ca$h in on. | FLAG |

| If he is, then GOOD for him. He has a product that a LOT of people in the climbing world are willing to pay for...old Layton Kor stories. If you have something that people are willing to pay for, there's nothing wrong with selling it. If someone doesn't agree with him doing so, then don't go see his show. I'm sure it will be a full house regardless. Sorry to hear that he has health problems, but I guess it will happen to most of us some day. | FLAG |

| FUNGUY you are obviously a real jerk. What is your real name? I would suggest you learn how to rope solo as that may be your climbing future. | FLAG |

| FUNGUY, You should send Layton $20 just for posting such a stupid comment. | FLAG |

Wasn't the first one billed or called "Once in a lifetime"? www.neptunemountaineering.com/neptune/dept.asp?s_id=0>>>>> Jesus. I think that FUNGUY is completely off base with his assertion. I also think that there are several people in this thread that are breaking rule #1 by calling him names. He may be wrong, but he's got the right to ask the question. Those people that are breaking rule #1 at the same time as calling him out on breaking rule #1 are extra special! FUNGUY, to answer your question, Yes, he is cashing in on his legend status. Most of his life, he neither wanted nor used his status to gain anything. Now, his health is failing him and he needs to raise money for medical bills. So he's using whatever he has (i.e. legend status) to pay his medical bills. Please don't fault him for that. --Marc | FLAG |
