I have to confess that I've only read p1 & p6 of this thread.

Is it safe to assume that it's acceptable to add a new area provided that the poster has done at least one route there? It would seem that it's a good thing b/c then others might be inclined to check out other routes in the area & perhaps post those routes, thus filling MP w/ more beta.

Also, is it a huge offense to refer to another website? It doesn't make sense to reinvent the wheel (duplicate beta onto MP) if another website is particularly rich w/ beta for a specific climbing area. It does make sense to point people in the direction of already existing beta.
