I know this picture is meant to be helpful, but it is wrong. We spent 45 minutes heading up the "ramp up" in this photo only to end up ledged out well above the Lion's Ledge and far from the start of the climb. The actual approach shoots straight left immediately after the trail turns up on the left side of this photo before it gets anywhere near the "ramp up". Look for a pile of rocks on the uphill side of a forked tree, go through some trees and bushes and round a corner to start the Lion's Ledge section that leads all the way to the base of the climb.

Agreed, that is very bad beta (unless of course...you want to climb Humungous Woosey ;>) ;>))

Sorry about this. A partner I did the climb with made up all the trip photos, I never even considered checking his work, I just posted the photo because at the time there was nothing else there.
I agree (from my long term memory) that it was a different approach and not what was indicated here.
I can either remove it or we all just know now not to use it as beta and leave it as a pretty picture.

Wow! I wondered how this pic got here and now I know! Chris! My poor dehydrated leader! Sorry if the ramp is wrong on the pic. I just remember there was a ramp up at some point close to that area (but probably much smaller) I add a pic that shows the ramp I'm talking about.
The ramp we took on the approach back in 2004. Pro...
The ramp we took on the approach back in 2004. Probably not the ramp mentionned on the overview picture. Sorry about that...
