I did a couple of the triple crown events a couple of years ago and it was well worth the money. Great time, great food, great bouldering, give aways, Kurt Smith mcing, money going to a good cause.

Thank you, it really sucks for us flat-landers. The nearest "Crag" is 500 miles away... *Trauma*

The Triple Crown is an incredible link up here in Colorado. It is known by most of the folks up in Estes. I heard about it first from Chris Kalous who I am not totally sure, but I believe might have started it with Marco Cornachioni. It is a link up of Wunsch's Dihedral, The Naked Edge, And Country Club Crack. I attempted it once and was two pitches up the edge when the weather unleashed. We were doing alright on time, it was only about 1:00 in the afternoon when we pulled out and had already done Wunsch's. I still want to go back and I highly recommend the link up.

Years later Kalous went back and repeated, but added the Crack of Fear to close out the day. It's fun to go for it on opening day of the closures.

What does that have to do with the Triple Crown (that's not supposed to be mean:P). The triple crown is a comp that started at hound ears I think, and spread through the 2 other crags (All were closed to the public until the comp). I pretty sure that's how it went, but then again, I could be wrong...

All others are copycats.

A shot of Cuervo
A shot of Jack
A shot of Jeager

You can use any crag for this event, though a free hanging rap is advised should something come about from the innards. An auto-block might not hurt either (that would be a third hand friction hitch for those keeping score).

Mark and Scott, interesting posts, but since David is 13, they are quite scandalous. As Mountain Project's self-anointed busybody cop, I have the duty to advise you as follows:

You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say may be used against you. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford one, one will be provided to you. Do you understand these rights as I've explained them to you?

Your sentence for attempted corruption of a minor is to lead hard climbs for me. When will you serve your sentence?

That's funny!

Sorry about your thread David - all of the boulderers that could engage in discussion of the Triple Crown are unable to type...from sore fingers of course!

Just keepin it PG-13, Senator from West Nile Land. I meant "picture"; you know, shot/picture, that's it.

No, David. Your thread simply started out as a humble caterpillar but has now metamorphosed into a lovely butterfly, sporting decorative ornamentation on its gossamer wings.

You should be proud.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
