Direct dihedral start of pitch 1, Empor. This start is definitely 5.8 without using the boulder. However, the difficult climbing with scant protection is down low. Several laybacks and "thank-god" holds as well as ample pro greet the leader in the second half of this photo and beyond.
The standard route cruises up and to the climber's right, but it shares many of the same difficulties down below.
