Description Suggest change

Cold Storage is the far left sheet of ice that packs a short and steep punch. This area is an excellent alternative to Loch Vale on crowded weekends. If you want fresh ice, you can find it here. Also, the Avalanche Danger is much lower here than at The Crypt. Approach is also shorter than The Crypt.

Location Suggest change

Hike up to the Loch. The obvious piece of ice up high to the North is "The Crypt". If you pan down and left, you will see the top of both "Cold Storage" and "Freezer Burn". They are best seen from the far the South side (center) of the lake (The Loch).

Protection Suggest change

2 or 3 ice screws max. There is a tree at the top you can rap from, or you can walk off around the left side.
