A great Bouldering spot/ one of the best in perhaps the world!! Fall and winter are the best times to visit hp40, and has three bouldering competition's a year/- Chandler Mountain Challenge, Sloperfest/Slap-N-Jam, Triple Crown Bouldering series!! The rock is sand rock and is some of the best sloper's in bouldering!!

Getting There 

From Chattanooga Tn. go Interstate 24 west to interstate 59 South and follow to hwy 231 and follow sign's to Horse Pen's 40. From Atlanta Ga. take interstate 20 to interstate 59 towards Attalla/Gadsden and get off at hwy 231 north and follow sign's to hp40!

The Stranger is an underrated, incredibly fun problem with excellent movement and hold variety. Start on low chickenhead jugs and pop right to a good sloper. Match. Switch feet on an excellent rail under the start, then move up to a dish. Bump left to a water groove, then, squeezing this, get your feet up for the final bump to a jug.
