One funny side-effect of where this photo was taken is that the row of trees in the foreground look like they're at the base of the formation, making it look very small. In reality, the row of trees is at the top of the Malamute and there's a few hundred foot drop down to the road and parking lot and then a fifteen minute hike up the base.
