Description Suggest change

One of the bigger climbs on the North Shore, this moderate makes for a fun days outing. 60 feet high and often 30 feet wide, a number of variations make this enjoyable over and over!
The setting gives you the feel of remote adventure climbing less than 15 minutes from the car...

Location Suggest change

Highway 61 to County Road 7 then follow to County Road 45. Take a left on 45 and follow a couple miles to the bridge that crosses the Cascade River. Park in the lot and hike down river (towards Lake Superior) about a 1/4 mile. The climb will be obvious. Snowshoes are a good idea for the approach. Another (easier) approach is to park on the west side of the bridge in a pull-off parking trailhead.  Take the trailhead downhill for a 30 second walk to the top of the climb. Protection Suggest change

Usually fat enough to take 22cm screws...6 to 8 screws should sew it up! There is usally an anchor station in the trees at the top but if not, make one with runners or webbing.
