Oldest? that title might belong somewhere else, an example
But in any case, I think this is by far the oldest picture of climbing at Rumney that I have ever seen.

Yeah Ladd, I have at least 3 or 4 pics from 1972 and close to 35 from the 70's in general.

Calling Captain Fingers, in its original FA condition, a "sport route", would stretch the current definition a bit. Let's just say there were considerably fewer bolts on the route then, and falling would have been rather exciting in places...

Wow... there are only 4 now, so how many were there, 2? One rope for each bolt! That would be a spicy adventure!
