Oldest? that title might belong somewhere else, an example But in any case, I think this is by far the oldest picture of climbing at Rumney that I have ever seen.
Calling Captain Fingers, in its original FA condition, a "sport route", would stretch the current definition a bit. Let's just say there were considerably fewer bolts on the route then, and falling would have been rather exciting in places...
