..or hang a bear bag over a cliff and temp him/her to throw their life away for the hanging bag of food/treats. That is what I used to do in WVA. I would never want to harm a bear, but it works. also vodka and lemons count as food, don't bring into your tent unless you want a bear to give you a wake up call at 4:30 AM.

Though uncommon and possibly construed as "toeing the line of inhumane", I have heard of this method.
