The Trough is the continuous snow ribbon running from the bottom of the picture up into the shadows of the NW face.  The narrows and homestretch are around the corner from the snow at the top of the sunlit broad shoulder in the right half of the picture.

Damn. Who else looked at this photo and realized good descents in June are possible outside of A Basin? Oh wait, I forgot. It's just 8 miles to the Trough.

I think it's more like 5 1/2 or 6 to the base, and less than a 3 hour walk which doesn't make it too bad of an approach. Not for such an amazing location anyway.
