Boulder beer night?

Hey folks, my climbing partner Aaron Hubbell and I are going to be in Denver for the Great American Beer Fest from Oct 11-13, and in the Boulder/Estes Park area until the 16th. Is anyone interested in getting another MP beer night together? Time is a bit tight this time, but I we are free the evenings of the 13th, 14th, and 15th, with the 15th being the best day for us (we're planning on going up the N. Face of Longs that day). Anyone interested?

Jim,

I'd join you but will be at the Red with the rest of the climbers. PM Stich...he's always up for beers at the Southern Sun.

BTW, I'd HIGHLY recommend scheduling your beer night on some evening other than your attempt of Long's. It could easily turn into a 20-24 hour day at that time of year.

Be safe...

Mal

Hey Mal, that's funny, you are going to be in my neck of the woods, and I am going to be in yours. Thanks for the heads-up re: Longs, but we won't attempt it unless conditions are pretty good. We're both fast, fit and competent, and I am pretty familiar with that mountain (having been up it about 5-6 times). But I never underestimate the thing...I remember turning around 300' from the summit last year because of verglas in the Homestretch. If things turn sour, we will bail. But good advice nonetheless!

Have fun at the Red...I was just there a week and a half ago and it was unusually warm for September! It will be a madhouse there next weekend. Don't forget that part if the Red is in a dry county, and you can't buy beer on Sunday...

Jim, sounds like you are going to be drinking a hell of a lot of good beer the first few days of your visit. Maybe we can all just meet up with you?

Mal, you've been all over the place buying beer and vittles for Ron O. and his crew. He's singing praises on the Taco. You get around.

Well, yes good idea Tim, if anyone is coming to the GABF, we should meet up! I am going to be present as a "brewery representative" for the Brugge Brasserie here in Indy. Come on over to the booth, and if I am there, I'll give you some double-secret stash. ;)

I'm honored to have had Ted from the Brugge brew one of my beers and enter it in the Pro-Am this year...called Lupulin L'Amour, it is a hybrid Belgian Tripel/American IPA and it is delicious! We had a tasting of it the other night at Brugge, as well as the very special DKOS:

Look for us!!

Cool Jim! Give us your booth location when you get it set up, you know, nearest street intersection. I'm sure we can remember the name since it's really close to the word bugger, like in bugger your toe.

The Brugge Brasserie booth will be at position K5...so about as far away from the entrance as you can get.

Stop on by...I will be at the booth, off and on, for the Thursday, Friday and Saturday early sessions.

Jim,

I can't make the beer fest this week as I'm away climbing in Zion, but I will be sending a substitute friend, Todd.

He'll come looking for you and asking for the good stuff.

I'm hoping I can make it to Boulder...

Cheers

John
