See? I was right, that was Jack's dog. Looks like John P. in the shadow and Scotty way in the back. I'm thinking that guy with the short hair is the guy that came over from France and they did the enclosure couloir on the Grand with.
Les Choi, haven't thought about him for about 30yrs! Last time I saw him was at a house up the valley (towards chimney rock) from Newberry's store where he was living with "Frank the Tree". I think he played banjo for us that night. The next day I went with Jeff Conley and Scotty Gilbert to Ophir and they did some crazy, severe crack on Post Office Wall (edit:it was Y-Crack 5.10d) that I couldn't even get off the ground on. That was the first time I had ever seen anyone use tape on their hands. Jeff went on and on about how severe the climb was, Scotty just smiled his sheepish grin and said "it was fun".
Andrea, Scott Mossman here, so great to see your comments! Just can't leave the Gunnison valley?...can't say that I blame all you guys that stayed there. I opted for the beach and am now living in Santa Monica Ca. I can just picture your smiling face and wonderful laugh. Take Care, Scott
