Right now we have about 30 people or so signed up for the event and there is room for more.
The event isn't just for climbers - everyone is welcome to join in on the fun. That said, the first SushiFest took place early this year in Utah and about 50 climbers assembled at Snow Canyon State Park where we chowed sushi for three days. I give credit to Jeff Lowe for inspiring the idea.

PS - I will be in Yosemite for the Facelift at the end of this month (Sept.). So if you want to learn more about the JTree gig or the sushi in general look for me in the Yellow Pines campground (can't be missed - big white popup tent)
SushiFest is a great time! I went to the Flagstaff SushiFest in the summer and had a lot of fun. Lots of good people, fun climbing, music and, of course, awesome food. Nature is the Sushi Master! It is almost guaranteed that if you come out for this party, you will meet great new friends, climb better than ever and eat really really well. See you there.
I thought it might be worth nothing that I own and operate a small sushi catering and sushi party business in Flagstaff, AZ. I do these events in part to refine my party throwing skilz.
My fish from comes from a varitey of sources - Big Eye Tuna fresh (flown in FedEx) from honolulu. My smoked salmon I get from a guy in Bellingham who fishes the Bristol Bay sockeye run. I recently found a certified organic shrimp that is farmed in Florida. Most of the ingredients I use are organic or come from a sustainable resource.
