Nothing at all like the shield, other than it's big.
Rock is quartzite. Makes for some great holds and blank sections.

I believe this view is looking at the upper box where the truly good climbs are. Foolish Pleasures, 5.10 and 10+ pitches depending on how much of the lower 800 or so ft of 5.5 slabs that you third class.

You're right, from this angle it does look a lot like the Shield as viewed from the N Crest Trail. As Paul D points out, though, there's really no comparison....
