For reference, that blue sling is 1-foot long. The flake just left of the placement is a jug. You can both see and place the stopper when the pin is at your arm-pit.

The start of the often skipped Pitch 4 of Rincon is a fun roof followed by good crack and very moderate slab climbing. Trouble is, that's only half of it. You have to cross about 100 feet of choss to get to the walk down. Better to rap. Now we know why everyone does it that way.

Pitch 4 (don't skip) It is very easy to walk off a ledge to the left after the fun crack....

About half way up P2. Chuck is 3rd on the rope--it's not a runout about this.

Nearing the top of P2. The Screamer is due to lack of draws, not bad gear.

Luke Clarke moves toward the upper crux of P1 while P2 beckons in the sun. Look at that dihedral!

Ivan clips the suspect pin before finding a nut placement to back it up before tacling the crux (getting over the bulge on the right skyline).
