Just another case of "Jessery." Doesn't the rubberized knee pad/knee bar constitute aid? If you're trying to climb the hardest grade you can why make it easier by resorting to aid. You don't see Chris Sharma, Ramon Julian, or Adam Ondra utilizing kneebars!!

Sharma using a kneebar is one thing, but when I posted on FB asking if he had been shown with a kneepad, the ultimate jessery accessory, no one could find an example.

He probably mis-placed his pad while high. It took more than 10 minutes just to find a picture with his feet on the rock. I never did find one with his shirt on. :)

Chris used a pad for Zulu I am sure, just when he got shot on the route he takes the pad off, it's not as if the shots are of him actually sending....

However, in this video, you can see Adam Ondra using knee pads while climbing.
