Mountain Gear Sale
Submitted By: John McNamee on Jul 20, 2006
I try to support local businesses as much as possible, but sometimes a sale comes along that is pretty good and it's worth letting everyone know about. Right now you can get about 25% off a lot of hardware at Mgear.com that often isn't on sale. Stuff like C4's.
Here is a selection from their Website:
Aliens@ 42.00 each C4's @ 45.00 each Ultralight TCU's @37.00 each Grigri @60.00 Metolius Monster ropes 30% off
You probably get the picture. Check out the sale at Mountain Gear

| Great sale! Saved me over $200. No way my local shop could give it away that cheap. I go to the lowest bidder when it comes to gear. Dana packs are on sale for like 40% off. Omega pacifics links and c4's are a great deal too. |

| think globally, act locally. and for those that travel abroad, act globally as well.
that can be said for quite a number of things. but in this case i personally will forgo the sale. i want another set of metolius cams, but i will most definitely help to keep my local climbing shop in the green before i shop over the keyboard. by the way i think the local climbing shops can use the business in the ever bulging Internet market, oh yeah can your'local' Internet shop give you beta to dial in that super hard 5.11 crux on a 4-pitch climb? if you shop long enough at one place you do get discounts, not just once a year. HELP SUPPORT LOCAL AS WELL AS SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS!!!! IT'S ONLY FAIR IN OUR BIG BROTHER, BIG BUSINESS GOVERNMENT AND MENTALITY. |

| Come in, call, email us. You'd be surprised how much that means to your local shop just to ask us if we can match the price. |

| I just spent a grand at my local shop last month on a bunch of shiny new cams and beaners. Last year I spent a few thousand dollars there on bc gear. Please don't lecture me on supporting local shops. I only have one, and they get alot of money from me, but they don't always have what I need/want. Fact is, they didn't have the pack I wanted so I bought it on line and tacked on a few other last minute impulse buys too. That's what sales are for. |
