DescriptionKeller Peak offers great climbing in a dense pine forest at elevations of 6500' to 7500', with over 200 routes and much bouldering to be enjoyed. There are many locations for climbing along the road as well as eleven free campsites. No services are available along Keller Peak Road, but the towns of Running Springs and Arrowbear are only fifteen minutes away with full ameneties. The fire lookout atop Keller Peak (7845') provides an amazing bird-eye view; when open and visibility is high a visit to it is highly recommended. Getting ThereFrom the town of Running Springs head east approximately 1.0 mile on Hwy 18 and make a right (just past the Deerlick Fire Station) onto Keller Peak Road (1N96), a paved but narrow and winding two-lane road. Following the road uphill will take one to the various areas; about 4 miles up the road tees- left to Children's Forest and right to the Keller Peak Lookout.
