What terrible news... it is always a bummer to read about someone's death, especially when it touches so close to home. Condolences.

"Demostrating rock climbing and rappelling techniques." What's the full story here?

Yeah, I'm curious as well. There'll probably be some semi-official release soon.

Very sad to hear though, I wish the best for her loved ones.

Truly tragic. I'm so sorry to hear about this.

Apparently she was rappelling when she fell. This has a little more detail, but not much.

pinches on So High

Chills me to the bone.

"fell while descending down rock face during rock climbing and rappelling demonstration."

Anyone know any more details about the accident? Very sad to hear. Was she the guide, or the student?

Goodbye Karen. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I didnt know her, but it is truly tragic to have a young lady full of life taken away with another accident.

Me <br />

I was up there today and looks like this happened on the Weeping Wall. At the base several articles of clothing--some seemingly having been cut off--and the litter has been moved. No details but damn--a little spooky being there the day after.

Best wishes to the family. I know how hard this is for them.
