More information:
I've been climbing in the Hills for 9 years now. I've done a lot of the all-time classics. I started trad climbing this season so I've had a great time with the diversity the Hills has to offer in both sport and trad climbs.

Here's a picture of the infamous "step-across." This is my first time up Spire 4; on lead, no less. I'm a tall, spindly freak, so I could spend all day between the two summits, but short people usually have to think for a few moments before their "leap of faith." This picture is a change from the traditional "butt shot," since this is actually a "crotch shot." :-)  Solo System is directly below the photographer. Tom is passing the "cruxy" section towards the top. (The other climber, to the left, is Nathan Lail heading up Stardancer.) (Photo by Zac Hester.)  This is Nate topping out on "Better off a Has-Been than a Wanna-Be." The crux (for short people) is reaching the horizontal gash behind the belay-side of the rope. Nate's short, but he managed with minimal sketching. :-)  Clinging to some sweet crystals on StarDancer. (Photo by Zac Hester.)
