Comments: Just to be clear, this problem is called The Jug, not Atlantis aka The Jug. Also this is not a drop off, that's not even a variation. If you drop off, you have not done The Jug. All of Stephen's name & grade information is completely wrong, & actually what you have done here is somewhat disrespectful to Jeff Jackson & myself. How much research did you do before you just decided to rename & regrade everything?

Comments: Sick route, Matt. There is now a rope ladder in place to get to the route.

Comments: Such a spectacular route, perfectly sustained with very little manufacturing. If you don't go direct over the last roof into the amazing blue rock, you aren't doing Present Tense. I used 17 kneebars in total, 3 of which you can go no hands in. Re-bolted by Darek Krol circa 2014. Thank you, Darek.

Comments: I did the 2nd ascent of this route & really enjoyed it. All the holds are pretty good, but the climb is steep. Great new addition.

Comments: I got on this today, 2 bolts need to be moved, I spent an hour cleaning it up. It is actually going to be a really good route, consistent & brutal. I did all of the moves rather quickly, the crux is incredibly thin, like climbing a chalkboard.

Comments: Personally I thought this was fucking hard. It would be a better route if it had its own anchors.

Comments: First thing I saw when I walked up to the crag! Soo beautiful! Bring a stick clip. The fall between 2nd and 3rd clip is terrifying, but the moves are so hard that I couldn't put third bolt any lower, all the clips are easy though. What a great area, I really love the route to the left of this, too.

Erik Durgin did the second ascent!
I am going to get up there as soon as possible and fix 4th bolt.

Comments: @bhof, as you know, the San Luis valley is a place of short sport routes. Yes these routes are short, but it is what we have here. Everyone I have taken to this area has loved it. I thought it would be nice if more folks had a opportunity to come try my routes and enjoy the seclusion of the area. I guess I should just stop bolting new routes right? Go climb at Shelf Road where not just the start of the route is chossy.

Comments: I stick clipped 2nd bolt because 1st is so low. First move crux for sure. It seems like it's going to be hard getting to and clipping 3rd, but the holds are good (especially the one you clip off of), then another boulder problem to get over the bulge and clip 4th bolt. I personally really enjoy enjoyed the climbing from here to the anchors, you don't have to clip every 2 moves, and the rock is so good. Stay on your toes because there is one last bouldery sequence from the last bolt to the anchor... more >>
