Comments: This route is different than what is in The Trad Guide to Joshua Tree: 60 Favorite Climbs from 5.5 to 5.9 by Diane & Charlie Winger. The route in the book starts at the bolts to the left.

Comments: Led this, and agree that the move to get above the first bolt is harder than a typical Jtree 5.8: slabtacular and micro-crimps with nothing at all for feet. The last mantle move at the top is heady on lead, but not hard.

Comments: This is a great climb all the way up to the anchors. That last move was easily a 10a move, if not 10b. I had to jump for the last pocket hold to the left and basically hang from it to get clipped in to the anchor. I couldn't reach it at all from the holds to the right. Short folk be aware that the anchors are tough! A great lead otherwise. Used every bit of my 60 yard (yes it's in yards) rope.

Comments: You have to get more than a little friendly with a tree to clip the first bolt, but a fun climb overall.

Comments: Contrary to previous reviews, I didn't find this route harder than Ms Pacman to its left, but I might put them on par with each other. I led both, and the only hairy move on Gameboy for a short person like me was getting getting clipped into the first bolt. I had to leave the deck over a serious potential fall to get clipped in.
