Comments: Rap chains are at the top of this route - 20 feet right of the top of Bluewind.

Comments: After climbing this, you can also set up a TR on the face just to the right. Fun, about 5.8 or so.

Comments: Used several medium cams, a big nut, and nut wires on the bolt with no hangar. Clipped one bolt on the route to the right. There's an unusable rap anchor up left from this route, with the bolts half pulled out.

Comments: This route was always done with all great gear placements until it was retrobolted a few years ago. There is bomber gear every 6 feet, mostly sized from blue Metolius to about .75 Camalot, plus a nut or two. Need extra orange Metolius/.5 Camalot. The anchor is very convenient.

Comments: King of Pain is the 5.9+ R seam to face with an old bolt about 10 feet right of Icarus. I'd guess about 60 feet long. It can be toproped once you do Icarus.

(Icarus is not on this topo but it's the 11a corner 6' right of Masterpieces. A circled X originally meant a bolt with no hanger - some have hangers now. )

Comments: I don't think the name is actually Free Solo.

Route #22 / #23 ?
The new glue-in lead eyebolts, all retrobolts, are unnecessary since there are gear placements all the way up. Although one gear placement has leftover glue in the way.

Comments: The upper bolt is still decrepit as of Oct 2012. Can use a nut or blue tcu.

Comments: Since the hold broke the route is even better!
Same rating, 11a. I am not giving any beta, but am not talking about the detour to the right, nor the way Cory describes.

Comments: Adding to the namesake of this route, often the bottom is splattered in sap.

Comments: On the direct start to P1,
you don't have to go directly past the first bolt.
Straight up past the first bolt is more than 10d.
You need a 1" cam below the bush, where you join the original route, as indicated in the guidebook.

Comments: You can continue up the corner as a variation to the normal crack finish, but it's a bit harder and slighly more runout than the rest of the route. Also there's a detached block sitting near the top, which you don't need to touch. The rap is about 112 feet from the bolts.

Comments: There is now a great bolted direct start to P3. Step right from Jungle ledge, and do a steep move up the arete, approx 11a.

Location: CA : Tahquitz & Suicide Rocks : Tahquitz Rock : West Face : West Face - Right Side : El Camino Real (5.10a)

Comments: The third bolt on P2 is still missing a hangar. I cinched 2 nuts on it - the outer one slung with more slack since it's just helping hold the first nut in place. You might get an offset alien to hold but very dubious.
If you rap from the jungle, you then downclimb the easy bottom of Fingertip traverse.

Comments: Starting on Rawlpindi: combine P1 & P2, 195 feet
Combine P3 & P4, 170 feet. P4 is the fun 5.8 crack.
We rapped from the chain anchor over to a big ledge at the middle of Rawlpindi, and climbed the upper pitches of that route.
