Comments: I get all of that. I've done a ton of routes on chossy rock that climb very well. Its a lot like riding a moped... or a cow... (we all get that)
It was just funny to find this one of the featured photos on the front page? I mean, how could this pile of choss be among the classic pics on all of mountainproject?

Comments: I'd have to agree with Perin. It was all tight pockets and edges for me. Did you do the .12 in the middle of the steepness? The one with the cool fist jam in the Hueco? Part of the top of that was the only loose stuff I saw on the wall. It seemed like that part of the wall had seen a lot more water in general and maybe that's why? who knows? I still think its a cool crag and a lot of fun for groups with a wide variety of ability.

Comments: that looks like fun. Was the white rock rotten or was there enough varnish to hold it together?

Comments: true. It would be easy to ASCA all of these anchors from that middle tier. Chris told me he drilled the entire thing on lead with a hand drill. Makes for some interesting clipping. This whole area is really fun and although this is supposed to be one of the 'easier' lines, the quality can't be denied. I found it plenty hard.

Comments: you masochistic bastard. BSmoot was talking about how incredibly awkward the Wizard's Chin is. You should write that up. Flared squeeze OW and chimneying. This comment qualifies everything you just said about Altered States. The anchor we used on fish for brains was fine, had it not been for the 40 feet of scrub we had to crawl through to get there. We thought we were on something longer and kept looking around for other pitches, scratching our heads at the choss above and about TP's 4-star... more >>

Comments: Thanks for that bolt warning. I've tightened it twice but obviously it isn't working. I'll replace it in the next few weeks. I need some Mike White assistance to help me figure out why this is happening. Or some LockTite.
