Fun crack above that is worth the trouble getting there.  The climb gradually moves rightward as it ascends the vertical face, maintaining a sustained grade throughout the climb until nearly the top.   The first bolt is easily reached when standing atop the large flake at the base of the wall.  Some of the photos for this ascent were taken from straight below the chimney in order to illustrate the nature of the climb. The person taking this shot was sitting at the anchors for Backbone--a 5.7 climb below and between Spinal Tap and Spinal Nerve.  Climbing between the start of Spinal Nerve and the chimney portion of Spinal Tap for a photo shoot of someone ascending Spinal Tap. To get good photos of climbing, sometimes you have to do some climbing. A cave goes about 60 feet straight down from where I am standing in this photo--thus the pause to place a cam for protection.
