Comments: I've climbed this route a dozen times or so now. I don't think the pro is bad, just sparse. First piece of 3 or 4 I place is 20ft or so off the ground.

Pulling the rope can be a pain in the ass. I did not use the new anchors. I don't know much about bolting, but perhaps replacing the old buttonheads with rapp hangers would be nice?

Comments: Really enjoyed this route. I felt P1 was more like 5.8-9, P2 5.8, and P3 5.not much. P2 was my favorite. I have been working and not climbing a lot lately.

Comments: I dig it. Neat slab climbing here. Thanks for the work in making that trail and putting those routes up. I appreciate it.

Comments: Pitch one was easy and arright. Couple interesting bits.
Pitch two had less protection, and was more challenging.
Big important point to remember (for me) was how my rope got stuck while pulling it after rappelling to P1 anchor. Rope got stuck around the 3" or so diameter tree not far below the P2 anchor. Had to re-lead P2 (fun ;) ) to get it un-stuck. Got down at dark.

Led on a 9.8mm 60m, trailing a skinny 70m for a double rope rapp.

Single rack with small nuts. I slungdeded a tiny ... more >>

Comments: Got rid of a big rock most of the way up, wild ass guess 200lbs or so. I was lead soloing this route when I pulled on the rock and it moved a few inches back. Friend was TR soloing on the 5.6 to the left, so I had her bail and flick her strand to me, and move everything out of the impact zone. Got my own strands out of the way while locked off on the left line, and let the block go once all was clear. KABOOOOOOOM!

Some flaky bits on the route.

Comments: Building a gear anchor for the east face routes can prove mildly complex. I built a direction off the crack above 'No Shoes Needed' to keep my anchor as far out of the deep crack that is 'No Shirtsleeves Needed'. The crack on this route nearly splits the formation, so a simple anchor would likely leave one with the rope running in a less than desirable fashion down into the bowels of the crack instead of above the climber.

Comments: I'd like to file a complaint. First off, you're sexually objectifying clowns AND wiffle bats. Third off, it's like totally 5.2 because I'm so cool.

Check your privilege, Taco.

Comments: OK OK, A6?

I'll change it to A6, or maybe WI42- 6B+, class 2.

I just copy other ratings. Like you said, it's a bolt ladder, so does the rating matter? C'mon guys.

Comments: Hardest moves at base. This is where ratings fail. You could say the start is 5.8 for me, as the movement is more akin to something rated 5.8 or above, and then it eases up after that and I wouldn't rate it. The steep bit halfway up again is more challenging than typical 5.7 or whatever, and then eases up yet again. Humans and their ratings. It's not hard, unless it is, then it is, unless you're someone else. Whatever it is, it's pretty fun.
