Comments: Hello Nicoli. Do you mean to power problem or technical Alpine Club? lol. Seriously though it's hard to tell. Everything is pretty dirty and I didn't get to go and see a ton of this field. It's quite long. not that tall. which is nice because you can just walk along the bottom and see almost every boulder from the bottom. So I think there is lots of potential. Comments: So one of the big problems I found was the amount of crusted on lichen on all the boulders. It was certainly more than my stick scrub brush could do anything with. How do you think you guys will clean this stuff? The hard nature of the rock (as opposed to the dodge) seems like it could hold up to some wire brush use for sure. What do you guys think? That being said I believe it is one of the most accessible boulder areas we have as it is literally straight up from where ever you park your car.

Comments: I also never expected you to say that! :-) This boulder field is awesome. Really filthy, but awesome. You literally walk straight up from your car. Which is nice. and there's tons of big blocs you can see from the parking lot and can walk straight up and scope them. I like. P.S. Did I mention that hold is sharp? Cause it's sharp.

Comments: So I only checked this out briefly and didn't try it because I ran out of time and was also not sure about climbing it on my own with the landing sloping away and not having a spotter. I didn't examine to closely but the feature is definately rad. Not that wide though which made me think that there are 2 lines. one using the left arete and the roof face and one using the right arete and the roof face. Comments: I tried this a time or 2. Probably 2 separate lines. One that uses the arete and face and one that starts near the arete traverses a couple moves to the center and goes up. I tried the latter after building up the sloping hill a bit. Arete would need a bunch of cleaning and probably wouldn't be to hard maybe v3 or 4. Face is hard and painful and will be heady. Traverse isn't bad then you hit a really sharp sidepull thing and a bad right hand 2 finger gaston. Then you would have to hike your fee... more >>
