Location: CO : Colorado Springs : Garden of the Gods : Kindergarten Rock : East Face : End to End (5.10a) By: Stewart M. Green When: Aug 18, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: Brian Shelton and I, along with David Mason and Robb Conner, took out the old pitons and rebolted Sandy Monster and End to End with beefy new bolts. Some of the angles were solid, but most came out without too much work. So climb on.... Thanks, Dave and Robb, for buying the hardware!

I looked at replacing it with a glue-in bolt, but the hole right now, with a bit of work, accepted another angle better. We also looked at the mechanics of belaying GD. Most belayers sit away from the wall, so when they catch someone falling on it, an outward force is exerted on that first piton which undoubtedly led to it loosening and eventually pulling out. Besides this replacement, ... more >>

Location: UT : Moab Area : State Highway 313 : Sport/Mixed Climbing Near 3... (5.10) By: Stewart M. Green When: Apr 12, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: I climbed here once with Jimmie Dunn in the early 1990s. When he lived in Moab then, he climbed a bunch of the cracks on that Cutler outcrop and used to come and do laps on the best ones.

Location: CO : South Platte : Elevenmile Canyon : Backstreet Wall : Unknown Right Side Trad (5.7) By: Stewart M. Green When: Nov 8, 2011 | view comment >> | Comments: FA: Brian Shelton and Stewart Green, 2005. Kind of a crappy route, so we didn't put an anchor in. Just to the left is another route that also climbs up and left.
