More information:
(updatedmay 2012) I am British, a trad climber and alpinist since 1981, lead up to 5.9 & 5.10 - have led up to 5.10c. I have a house in Blue Diamond but live part of year in UK. So I am no longer new in USA - over the last three years I have met and climbed with quite a fine bunch of climbing partners through mountain project, often visitors or people here on business with a few days to spare, or people living out of a van (a fine tradition)and I have climbing friends in Blue Diamond - but I welcome more climbing partners - (at various levels) incl trad leaders interested in doing 5.10, older climbers and people for mid week action .. do let me know if you are interested? I am also interested in meeting up for more extended trips to or meeting up to do classic rock routes in high mountain areas such as the High Sierras, Bugaboos, RMNP etc. in 2010 I climbed Reg route on Fairview, NE ridge bugaboo spire, in 2011 moon goddess arete, venusian blind, bear creek spire north ridge, stuff at owens river gorge and whitney portal etc. In 2012 I hope to go to the bugs in august. I am also keen to get back to yosemite when the weather is right. I also do ski touring and had a v successful two weeks in sierras last spring (2011)including ski ascents/descents of Mt Kearsage, Mt Gould, Mt Whitney etc, this year spent several weeks in Antarctica and Canada (fairy meadows, wapta). |
