Comments: How low are you starting this problem? I'm assuming it is a sds. I am starting it with a low right hand on the arete and a left hand on a low low undercling/sidepull....

Comments: This is stout V7, worked through the crux last night just need to link it together. IMHO this feels harder than both V8s I've sent recently. Great problem though can't wait to get back and finish it....

Comments: Damn... I didn't think me setting up cairns was such a big deal and would of sparked such a debate. My logic is right in line with Monty's. I would of figured one social trail is better than everyone free for alling it up the mountain side. Also, for the fact that The Energy Crag is hard to find the first time, the people who are persistent are going to free for all it multiple times up the mountain till they find it so instead they have a general path/direction to follow to find it. IMHO also I... more >>

Comments: Sent this one on an 80 degree day. Wow talk about a PITA. Def a high friction day problem or your gonna grease off about 100 times before you get it like I did.

Comments: After a miserable attempt to find The Energy Crag in the beginning of the day, the second attempt was fruitful but still a but troublesome. So it's either A) The Energy Crag is that hard to find or B) I'm a dumb ass. In either case to help fellow climbers who are as retarded as I; I added a few cairns on the way up to help point in the general direction. Just find one of them next to the Sister's Trail about 100 yards before you hit the Fawn/Sisters fork follow up the ravine and keep h... more >>

Comments: I don't need stacked pads for the V6 stand start. I'm also 6'2". You can totally tell the ground erosion from the water runoff near the boulder so I consider the V6 stand legit with stacked pads b/c hey not everyone is 6ft tall. The rest of the problem I feel is a solid V6 with good movements and holds. The V7 on the other hand is miserable for me, and I can't even establish myself on it. I'm not even going to attempt it, so I have no say on that issue. In fact the V8/V9 start looks more appeal... more >>

Location: CO : Morrison/Evergreen : Morrison Boulders : The Dark Side : Done Deal Dyno (V3) By: Squish When: Jun 3, 2010 | view comment >> |
Comments: From what I've been told there is a (V7ish?) sit start into this problem adding a one move wonder to the dyno. Anyone have any idea about this? I've been able to get my ass off the ground, but I can't stick the movement into the crimp....

Comments: Ultra low start is super fun. I'm 6'2" and didn't find it cramped at all. I used a low right outside heel hook on this little nubbin' counter flagged my left foot crossed under. Made it more tall person friendly.

Comments: How about instead of all you bitching about the post you update it with the correct location of the boulder. If you don't want it listed delete the location off of MP. I was in Eldo yesterday for about 7 or 8 hours around the Musical Boulders and this was a boulder that I really wanted to check out but alas no directions so I couldn't find it.

Comments: Sweet yo. Great problem. Is there a variation not using the said sloper you mentioned? I was hucking for it and almost got it. Planning on doing it dynamically next time.

Comments: Is the sloper on the top right near the rail for Zion Express on or do you only use the arete and huck for the last move to the lip?

Comments: When was the last time this problem was attempted? I was there several weeks ago in December and noticed another hold broke off. A crucial foot which I totally need to change my beta, b/c I can't even get into the crux sequence anymore =(

Comments: Coming back to AZ for vacation in a about a week. My climbing bro Trey told me about this place. We are so going to check it out. The hike looks so much more worth it than the hike to Linda Vista.

Comments: I lived in Tucson for 3 years and Queen Creek was my absolute favorite place to go climbing at. It would be a tragedy if QC was closed down. Which also brings me to my next point. How come no bouldering is documented for QC? Great places like Davey Jones Locker and Evolution Boulder are just for 2 examples. Not to forget to mention the classic Rail problem. Now that I live in CO I realized how much I miss QC. Max is correct. People need to enjoy it while they have it and speak out about how much... more >>
