Comments: Neat shot. Someone, a Venezuelan?, was pretty seriously hurt on this climb when I was there, in 2004. Some friable flakes on the arete?
Love the Esloveno looming in the background, with the line of Imagínate clear to see.

Comments: Painfully obvious linkup is to continue up Hawkman's Escape, another 8 pitches of old school 5.9 climbing that lead to one of the great, obscure, Yosemite summits. The top of Lower Brother is wild.
Buyer beware with Hawkman's - it's serious up there.

Comments: George is right on. The Fosset crash site is a ways sw of our plane's position in this photo. The wreckage was found a few clicks north of the low valley that houses Devil's Postpile. If you're interested, there are some good maps and pics of the site and wreckage here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rockwellb/sets/7215760773795920>>>>>. Real mystery what he was doing up there and why he went down. Hopefully we'll know more once the NTSB report comes out.
