Comments: It would take a radical change to live a life without non-bio-degradable waste and is unrealistic to expect it. Also, I enjoy having awesome pristine wilderness areas as much as the next person. So the solution is landfills, and maybe they aren't as bad as a picture of one makes you feel. So, what I wrote five hours ago doesn't agree with the conclusion I've come to. Given our current situation, it is better to put trash in the dumpster rather than on the desert floor. However, I don't thin... more >>

Comments: I don't agree with you. I put my garbage in trash cans, and that is why I don't choose to bitch at someone who litters. I don't think its better to put it in a landfill, because while you may be preserving the desert environment, you are being ignorant to the fact that you are creating waste. Maybe if we had to look at our waste, then we wouldn't be so wasteful.

Comments: Guideline #1: don't be a jerk

C'mon, bitching about bio-degradable golf balls in a desert? What about all the trash you generate each week? That is better because they go and shove it in the ground somewhere you don't have to look at it?

Comments: The barnacles makes this one really exciting. Your feet slip and slide all the way to the top, which could make for an exciting slide all the way back down. Anyway, really fun.

Comments: I took a quite different line than shown which seemed to be of least resistance; I went up and to the left, then followed the rail back and up to the right and squeezed through the slot. Just an OK landing on this one which makes it spicy.

Comments: Definitely the easiest of the three, which is good because the landing isn't very good.

Comments: We were having a hell of a time reaching past the last pod. We tried some bat hang beta but ended up finding a good fist jam way up in there instead.

Comments: This thing is burly. Too small to be a comfy chimney- I ended up going up cock-eyed to get good leverage with my outside knee. My friend placed a #3 and #4 Big bro, probably would be better with two #4s. Can't say this was "fun", but definitely was an exhausting lesson in skinny chimney climbing. No move was harder than 5.7, but I didn't think it was that secure to stay in the chimney and thus was pretty sustained.

Comments: Probably best to double rope rappel from the anchors, but I think you would be ok rapping from the back if you make sure to throw the cord over the top towards the backside. An adventurous route with a great view on top gets three stars from me. I guess I would say just to be careful with the large flakes at the crux, could become more flexible with time.

Comments: I took a fall at the roof and it went clean. Did anyone else use the beta where you throw yourself up to get your butt sitting on the huge horn just left of the clip? Awesome rest! I thought the climbing above the roof was decent. The big ledges for your feet at most of the clips take away some excitement, but I felt that the climbing was good.

Comments: Traversing up and to the right from the bottom left(following the flake) seems like it would be fun, but it definitely goes into the no fall zone.
