Comments: Was on route the 25th, ice was in but thin at times. a little runout right now on the 3rd pitch, P1, and 2 looked good. P4 was thin in the chimney. The snow fields were consolidated, but noticed big snow cyrstalls for base layer. Watch for avalanche conditions.
P.S. if anyone finds an O.R. mitten, hit me up.

Comments: Conditions on Alexander's is thin yet. We only used 3 ice screws at the most. There was patches of soft snow in all pitches. Ice is forming quite well, but more rock than ice.

Comments: Finally stuck it (just the crack). I'm not much for bouldering, so I give it 5.11a.

Comments: Ron, you're exactly right. I deal with loose rock a lot, spending my after work climbs in the Big Thompson Canyon, trad climbing here take's skill and patience. The third pitch of Green Spur, will slowly deteriorate (the big 900 lb. boulder people lean on, and a few jugs are more than suspect). If the route looks unsafe, be smart and wise. I'd put an S for sketchy on the P3, but it is one of the coolest roofs I've climbed.

Comments: This dihedral pitch is so awesome, I bet it's 9+ for a move or so getting over the roof, great protection.!! I'm going to put a rap station soon.

Comments: Don't pay any attention to the rock jocks, more like rock jokes. They spend all week on one open problem, just to stomp it in your face. It's sad when you can send 12 in the gym, but can't even pull the crux on a 5.9 at Lumpy.

Comments: Great slab, with excellent rock. One of my favorite approaches (LOL). I'd say this is better than Grey Rock, or Cedar Park slab by far.

Comments: The second pitch is the bread and butta. I wouldn't say it's better than Slipstream but an awesome airy pitch. At the second belay, we all look up and seen 13 Tally marks under a small roof, spooky!!!

Comments: Pitch 2 of this climb is not recomended but a spicy, scary lead on awesome granite, although some loose rock is present. There will be a rap station for this climb in the near future.

Comments: I climb the 5.9 flake, and it was worth it. It looks easy but is for sure a Lumpy 9. We did top rope the dihedral, Eric did a great job. The horn at the belay does seem sketchy, but I gave it a couple headbutts and it seemed to hold.

Comments: I'm 5.9 and I didn't dyno, really stretched out. I never left my right foot hold. Instead of the right side pull at the crux, look for a knob to undercling and float to the jug. If you know how to levitate, that would help some.

Comments: I did the Diagonal last night. At P2 instead of moving left into the overhanging dihedral. I took the 2nd pitch of Pearl Harbor and after three bolts veered back left to catch the Diagonal for the hand jams. But just an alternative. It was fun as shit.

Comments: Good work Pat, we'll have to climb sometime, I met you late night in the Big Thompson, the fastest I've ever seen a rope put in a coil in my career.
