Comments: I guess since it was soloed on the FA, you can't expect it to be all that difficult, but I wouldn't give it a 5.1. I expected a ladder with big jugs and feet at this grade. Either I was on the wrong route or this is a sandbag. lol

I found it easy to protect with wide pro at the bottom. Dog Wall doesn't seem to see much traffic (likely due to a confusing trail across the powerlines leading most people to the upper trail to nowhere). We cut away and packed out a pile of crispy slings on the a... more >>

Comments: I missed the traverse right... when I got to the roof and looked right, the traverse didn't look very protectable on the way over to the head jam crack system. I opted to pull the roof, which can be spicy if you're looking for 5.5 or 5.6 climbing. I ended up climbing straight up to another anchor at the top, rapping down to the head-jam ledge and rapping again from there. Certainly not an intuitive traverse.

Comments: Great climb. The crux is certainly down low at the start. I made a gear anchor on a small ledge after moving left, just below the face. Great exposure and great holds everywhere.

I tried using the rings that Robert Hutchins mentions and sadly my 60m did not make it to the bottom even with rope stretch. Be sure to tie knots in the ends if you try it.

Comments: Agree with the comment about pulling the bulge move. Figuring out the proper way to do the layback around and up the bulge was the hardest part.

Very fun climb!
