Location: CA : Tahquitz & Suicide Rocks : Tahquitz Rock : Northwest Recess : The Long Climb (5.8) By: Ryan Kempf When: Sep 19, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: Agree with Brendan and Nathan. Be really careful of lose blocks. There are always people below you on these routes and even a fist size rock would kill a person. All BS aside, go straight up the left facing corner after p4. its direct and really good, maybe .9 for 2 moves, other than that solid and way better than the other finish. The piton on p4 has a broken eye and needs to be replaced or removed.

Exit for "price of Fear finish" is obvious, go left at 1st chance and hit the .5 crack (blind), slab section felt easy for the grade and flows well. damn good route, deserves t... more >>

Location: CA : Tahquitz & Suicide Rocks : Suicide Rock : Northeast Buttress : Etude (5.11a) By: Ryan Kempf When: Sep 18, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: As of 9/16/12 there is only one remaining knife blade. It is mid crux above the traverse. There are pin scars where the old pins were that provide excellent pro (especially with C3's). Route is pure, with delicate moves on good rock.

Location: CA : Joshua Tree National Park : Echo Rock Area : Snickers : Snickers - North Face : Way of Life (5.11b/c) By: Ryan Kempf When: May 25, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: The missing bolt on Way of Life has been replaced with the permission of the NPS. There is a new 1/2" bolt close to where the old 3/8" bolt was. The new bolt is in slightly better rock. Thanks to the ASCA for the hardware.

Kinda difficult to figure out the beta but seems fairly easy once you get it squared away. Grading is accurate at 10d.
