Comments: It climbs a boulder, it's a boulder problem. People have climbed and enjoyed it. You have a strange mentality when it comes to climbing. I sure hope this mentality doesn't become the norm.

Comments: This looks like the best hard sandstone sloper problem in the state to me..? I don't know why some people give first ascensionsts so much shit in the Midwest. Maybe you should put up more problems instead of being douchey little bitches? Someone should have said that a long time ago. I put up with this garbage the entire time I was living in Wisconsin putting up problems. You guys suck. Penis envy? Blah blah blah. You guys are bitches. Haha take that!

Comments: One way or another I think the information for all the starts should be included. The picture is pretty darn good.. I'd leave that up. They will all get climbed because it's a cool boulder. You can't change history, and I think it adds some flare to the boulder.

Comments: Sounds like you added a hard move or two to the basilisk to me. Lower starts happen all the time in bouldering.. I don't see why anyone should be bothered. Sometimes they get renamed, sometimes not... It doesn't really matter either way. It is different though. Now we have another hard problem to go play around on:). And James it does matter damnit! This is Wisconsin bouldering were talking about here, and for governor dodge this is cutting edge stuff!:) And it probably would be V17 if it w... more >>

Comments: As far as I know.. Not so bad but probably a 5.6 or 7 mini solo. There were lots of pine needles on it when I did it. It sounds like Aaron went the same way I did.

Comments: Group hug! For the record for the guidebook grades are going to be changed to line up with the consensus. And I do think Born in Blood is one of the harder things I have done it the lake, hence my suggested grade. Maybe this is benchmark V11 here?...what are other benchmark 11's? Are some of the 11's harder? I suspect so. So my idea for the book is to have grades up to V12, the hardest 2-3 will get the 12 grade. I don't think I'm totally off base here either. Thoughts?

Comments: This thing gets a ton of sun and would be a great winterish project.. It dries really fast. So would a lot of things in this talus field.

Comments: There are some weird competitive ego things going on in our climbing "community". From a proper start those are definitely tough problems. I would disregard any opinion he gives if I were you.

Comments: Photo added. This would be a good winter problem.. I think it would be one of the first ones to dry and you want good conditions.

Comments: I did this today and it is indeed pretty cool! I started right hand on a juggy sidepull underneath the roof and left hand on an obvious sweet pinch. A lower start could be possible but dabby. If you're looking for something different and funky with a short approach go check this thing out.

Comments: Nice work! Glad people are climbing this thing! I thought it was super fun. FYI at most climbing areas, though maybe not here, this would be v9, so take that into consideration when you travel!

Comments: Make sure to have a spot on this one. It's possible to have a very bad fall even though it seems safe.. It has happened and fortunately only scrapes and bruises were the outcome..

Comments: I'm glad you guys say how hard you think these are.. When putting up a line it is hard to judge... Not just sometimes but all the time. And that is how we get a consensus.

Comments: Mr. Nic, I think you are off base and wrong with most things you just said. Also I believe your reasoning is irrational. I will just leave it at that.

Comments: Not sure on official start holds, but if you stand start and use the big ledge for a foot and climb up the face through the slanting sloper it felt v6ish to me. Awesome problem.. you have to work your feet. It may just be my favorite of the grade in the state.

Comments: Time will tell.. People should try this. The moves are really fun and with a few pads it's totally safe. Morning shade, afternoon sun. I'd recommend getting on it while it's shadey.

Comments: We will see when more people climb it. Peter used a completely different sequence than I, and I tried the way he did it and couldn't do it with his method... Also big props to Peter on the second on this one.. It's finicky problem and intimidating with the landing.

Comments: My suspicion is the left arÍte is the sharks tooth, looked about v7 and good. The rising line across the face caught my eye though and I got sucked in. Has some easier moves to crimps and a hard off balance dyno move which I never did. Maybe somebody should go out and do this thing..

Comments: That's my chalk. No send.. Would probably be good, some other possible problems that could be decent right in that patch too. I wonder if the left arÍte is the v7 sharks tooth problem somebody talked about somewhere..
