Comments: Beware: Both Vogel's "Classic Joshua Tree Routes and Bouldering" and Miramontes's "Joshua Tree" guidebooks show this route on the crack to the right of this one. The description is correct in Vogel's but the photo is incorrect in both. We got on Primal Scream (5.10d) thinking it was this climb. "NO way this is 5.8!"

Comments: I didn't think to lieback the OW on the 2nd pitch. I face climbed it instead and it felt 5.9+ this way. Don't rap unless you just love to rap. It is more hassle than it is worth.

Comments: On 7/9/2012: My partner dislodged a large block (~3ft x ~2ft x 6in) from the middle of the second pitch. It looked solid as far as I recall but it took little force to make it come loose. The block smashed his middle finger then slid a short distance onto his foot. He warned a group of 3 below before he unstuck his foot and let the rock slide. I think the route still goes at 5.7.

Comments: A couple of fun mantles. Forgettable except for the greasiness. I stayed in middle of the stain. May be easier and more enjoyable on the edges.

Comments: Crux feels much harder than 5.9 with Mythos. Might be easier with some good edging shoes. The climbing starts getting exponentially easier after the first bolt.

Comments: I led behind Justin and used him as a route finder. This plan went south when he went off route. I traversed left on p2 but didn't know how far to go. I started climbing up the first left facing corner and thought it too gritty and too thin higher up. I down climbed and traversed left another ~4 ft into the left most left facing corner then belayed on top of some flakes just before the route starts arching left.
