Seriously, what would this feel like. Marshall (my boy), Aiguille de Midi March 2016 My boy Marshall taking the fast trip down from the Aiguille de Midi. March 2016 The North and West side of Baxter's from the old Ortenburger 1965 guide. Another F8 Chouinard route and the classic North Face by Robbins and party.

This was the only F10 in the entire Ortenburger 65 guide book.

I would be curious to know if anyone does these old climbs anymore. I would hope they are still classic and trad! From the original 1965 Ortenburger guide to the Tetons. Showing several routes on the south and east side. The Gill route was rated F9 (but much harder than that and essentially a solo), and an East Face route by Chouinard that turned out to be free at F10.

Note the old style ratings of "F" instead of "5".

Nothing better than a good boat ride followed by ticking four or five routes with an easy rappel. Early 70's. Baxter's was the go to place for a short day climb. I took about everyone who I could get in my car to climb it at some point.
