they are gone, closer inspection reveals they were pulled out. The one left is spinning, so it needs to be pulled as well. I didn't have tools with me, but next time I go, if it's still there, I'll pull it.
Is there any need to replace these? Does anyone care?

By: Rick Miske When: Nov 19, 2007 | view comment >> | Comments: Gave it a one-star because near the top as the crack heads right of the anchors there is a fun spot where you can either balance leaning left in the crack or stick your right toe in a small pocket and reach up for a small crimp and step out on the face to the right - then suddenly you find the hidden jug.
Too short, but beautiful approach and scenery from the top.

By: Rick Miske When: Nov 14, 2007 | view comment >> | Comments: Summited July 4th. 1st ice pitch a walk-up after the first semi-vertical 40', 2nd required one tool but quite a bit of front-pointing. Felt like solid Grade 3. There were loops of webbing left on the penitentes which made good anchors.
Was cool at the end of the day to sit in camp 2 and watch the fireworks all around.

By: Rick Miske When: Nov 12, 2007 | view comment >> | Comments: Took the kids (4 and 6) there in early Nov. and it looked cleaned up (mattress was there still in Oct - thanks whoever cleaned it). Great place for kids, with lots of short scrambly routes on the boulders downhill from the traverse wall (and one cool 4th class chimney perfect for kids). If you drop by on a ski trip, it would be a great way to break up the visit for the kids.

The group site is nice.

By: Rick Miske When: Nov 10, 2007 | view comment >> | Comments: Bottom was V-easy (touch bouldery). Last 10' two options - left crack, right face (mild exposure). TR from upper (left) anchors reached by trail, there's an anchor there to protect while setting QD's.
