Location: UT : Wasatch Range : Red Rock : The Red Rock : Liken Z' Planus (5.7) By: Rick Miske When: Jul 14, 2009 | view comment >> | Comments: Since the top after the mantle onto the ledge is only 3rd/4th class, I just leaned over and clipped the single anchor at the top of Shark Teeth, though it's a bit harder to clean after yourself.

Location: CO : Keystone a.k.a. Montezuma : Swan Mountain Road By: Rick Miske When: Jun 1, 2009 | view comment >> | Comments: May 30, 2009 - it appears as though all but one of the bolts on top of the 5.6s are missing - - (edited 6/9/2009) they are gone, closer inspection reveals they were pulled out. The one left is spinning, so it needs to be pulled as well. I didn't have tools with me, but next time I go, if it's still there, I'll pull it. Is there any need to replace these? Does anyone care?

Location: UT : Wasatch Range : Red Rock By: Rick Miske When: Jan 22, 2009 | view comment >> | Comments: I was emailed and asked today about the "plastic holds" that used to be under the little roof under the .9/.10 area. They are no longer there this year in case anyone is interested.

Location: UT : Wasatch Range : Rock Canyon : The Kitchen : Right Corner (5.6) By: Rick Miske When: Nov 23, 2007 | view comment >> | Comments: Unless I missed a set, the second set of anchors has a bit of rope drag - the first set (out over Numbers) has a much better line.

Location: CO : Keystone a.k.a. Montezuma : Swan Mountain Road : 5.6 TR - 1 (5.6) By: Rick Miske When: Nov 19, 2007 | view comment >> | Comments: Gave it a one-star because near the top as the crack heads right of the anchors there is a fun spot where you can either balance leaning left in the crack or stick your right toe in a small pocket and reach up for a small crimp and step out on the face to the right - then suddenly you find the hidden jug. Too short, but beautiful approach and scenery from the top.

Location: WA : Mount Rainier : Kautz Glacier (WI2-3) By: Rick Miske When: Nov 14, 2007 | view comment >> | Comments: Summited July 4th. 1st ice pitch a walk-up after the first semi-vertical 40', 2nd required one tool but quite a bit of front-pointing. Felt like solid Grade 3. There were loops of webbing left on the penitentes which made good anchors. Was cool at the end of the day to sit in camp 2 and watch the fireworks all around.
