The second is approaching end of P1 at base of ramp. The belayer stopped short (right) of the ideal P2 anchor, probably due to the rope drag created by combining the first two pitches. Photo by K. Mullen.

Red arrow points to rap for Ecstasy & Simple J Malarky. Free hanging rap is about 150 ft, give or take. Or you can walk north to the base of other climbs (Triple S, Marshall's Madness, Crack of Dawn... area known as wall of a Thousand Pitons). Belayer in white helmet is at start of pitch 3 for SJM. 2nd is in trees to left of cave. Photo by K. Mullen.

Overkill hanging belay at the top of the 3rd pitch. It had been a while since I made a hanging belay. I kept looking for bolts that didn't exist at the end of the 3rd? pitch (read the guide afterward & it said "natural gear belay in an eyebrow"). And I just got sparkly new C3s and wanted to break them in.

This is the best protected pitch of what the guidebook calls the best protected climb at Stone Mtn. The cheese grater swing potential on this pitch is a bit heady if you're not used to leading on granite. Double ropes *really* minimized rope drag.
