Location: WY : Vedauwoo : 700S Boulders : Beer Crack (V3) By: poundit14 When: Apr 7, 2013 | view comment >> | Comments: The super-secret-ninja beta is to invert while still in the handcrack; kicking heel-toe cammies into the widepart; then you let go, no-handsies, whipping around to the jug; then you can switch the cammies to knee-jammies and wiggle up. That's it . . . DUH!!!!

Location: WY : Vedauwoo By: poundit14 When: Aug 28, 2011 | view comment >> | Comments: So I went out, for the morning, to the normally crowded Friday the 13th alcove. But, today, instead of finding the normal host of people frying in the sun amongst the tape scraps and rope ends, I found a white (soft plastic), narrow-neck Nalgene, and one blue lace-up ClimbX shoe. I would be more than happy to return it to the rightful owner, since I have no use for it. P.S. PLEASE pick up your trash and do a sweep of the area before you head on to another climb. P.P.S. 700N is referred to a... more >>

Location: WY : Vedauwoo By: poundit14 When: Jun 8, 2011 | view comment >> | Comments: Even though it is doubtful that it belongs to a climber, I found an iPod Touch on the saddle between Glen Dome and Land of the Rising Moon, in Central Vedauwoo. Since karma always comes back around, I am interested in returning it to its proper owner. If it's yours or you believe you lost yours around there, please contact me with some general information regarding this iPod.

Location: UT : Moab Area : Indian Creek : The Optimator By: poundit14 When: Apr 15, 2010 | view comment >> | Comments: This is a good wall that gets plenty of afternoon shade, and is inhabited by grumpy old men, constantly reminding you of how tough they are by downgrading all the climbing, while tr'ing laps on Neat.

Location: WY : Vedauwoo : Land of the Rising Moon : Moonrise Variation (5.10d) By: poundit14 When: Aug 31, 2009 | view comment >> | Comments: WARNING: the rock in the pod about halfway up moves as well. It actually moves with ease, whether from a loaded cam or just a foot jam will cause it to shift from one side to the other, causing cams to tip out and fingers to get stuck.

Location: WY : Vedauwoo : Old Easy : Soggy Bottom (V5) By: poundit14 When: Jun 16, 2009 | view comment >> | Comments: You mock jammer for naming the problem and sharing it with anyone that might be interested, yet didn't you do the same thing, Strappo, by calling it "Soggy Bottom?" You can hardly take offense to problems being redone and renamed when you chose not to share that information because it was below you, and yet you make a stink. I'm sure the pebbles in your driveway are lovely, but if you choose to take them for granted, so what if someone cares enough to name them. You hardly broached the conver... more >>

Location: WY : Vedauwoo : Holdout : Beefeater (5.10b) By: poundit14 When: Jun 13, 2009 | view comment >> | Comments: THIS IS ONE GREAT CLIMB! The gear is great on it and the jams are good. It is splitter and flaring, it is classic Vedauwoo climbing. It is all about gunning for the rests and feeling the exposure!

Location: WY : Fremont Canyon : The Love Shack : Red Dog (5.10a) By: poundit14 When: Jun 7, 2009 | view comment >> | Comments: Watch out for choss before and at the roof. There is some soft rock on the left side, and choss waiting to peel off on the right side of the roof, exactly where and what you want to grab. Once pass the roof, it is pretty solid now, but there is a block that is currently marked with an X, so tread carefully.
