Comments: The horizon in all your photos is screwed up. It makes them look less steep, FYI.

Comments: The Fixe sport anchors at the top of this route were dangerously worn through (half-way, in fact.) They were replaced by Mike White of the ASCA, http://www.safeclimbing.org, around October 2007.

Unfortunately, at that point I'd never been up Left Pile and didn't know those anchors were just as bad. That's the project for this spring, so I'll see if I can ropegun for Mike again and get him up there to replace those.

Comments: Really, really enjoyed this route. Thanks for putting it up, Greg!

PS. I bought the topo at IME for $10, and it was well worth it.

Comments: Headed up to the Millstone on 6/2/2007 for the first time. The talus field was a solid warmup, even though we lost the trail on the way there. We managed to lose the trail on the way back, too, somehow.

I don't think we'll go back up there. The logistics of gearing up, belaying and general "moving around" on that slab are a real pain in the ass. The routes themselves are fun and unique, but you spend more time negotiating the slab and trying to keep your junk from rolling to the bottom.

Comments: Agreed. Many thanks to the Smootster. We're headed for the Iron Curtain today!
