Comments: Too good a line not to be repeated! So psyched for this one. Great day in the hills, Noah!

Comments: I got to climb this line yesterday with Matt Jerousek in apparently above average conditions and found it to be a great adventure. Many of the anchors are buried in snow, and the above route description I found hard to decipher from the narrative. Here's the way we found it:

P1-M5/WI4, 200ft. Belay on left at top of snow gully at bolted anchor.
P2-M3/4, 200 ft. Belay on right in crack systems.
P3-M2/WI2, 80 ft. Belay at base of obvious rock wall on left on gear (#1 cam).
P4-M5/6 R/X, 180 ... more >>

Comments: Great work, Lawrence, I'm super psyched to see someone else get up there. You'll love the Ol' 6 and Blind Luck too.

Comments: Last weekend, Eric and Ilana drug me along on their bad idea, "Mount Evans Triple Shot." We started in Idaho Springs, rode bikes to the summit, climbed the Black Wall, then headed down in a little over twelve hours.

There are a few good scenes of Cary Granite if you're interested in a glimpse.

Comments: Eric Jesse and I climbed this a few weeks ago. I found the 10+ roof of P3 and the 12a pitch to be very enjoyable (especially since I was only following on the crux). The middle pitches were definitely looser and wetter than they appeared and pretty steep and sustained. I'm sure some Diamond hardmen would disagree, but I'm listing it as one of those routes that are good to have done but wouldn't go back for.

Comments: Super fun line, some of the funnest pitches I've done on Pike's. Once this cleans up a little, it will make a great summer rock line as well. The Park has Two Dragons... well on Pike's we have Three Dragons!

Comments: Well said, Noah. My hope is that bolts are used sparingly if at all on the Dark Side.

Comments: Good to hear, Steve, maybe Wellborn and I will get our courage up enough to give it another go! The lower gully looked to have some ice last weekend.

Comments: Lost a camera at the base of talisman last Saturday. I'm sure it's under 10ft of snow by now, but if by chance you find a red camera, hit me up. Thanks

Comments: Hi Kevin, why would you need to access this from the top? Or feel the need to establish anchors for this purpose?

Just curious

Comments: This route is a great addition to the Dark Side. We found every pitch to be time consuming due the wet snow, and that the route is new enough that the climbing and gear placements are definitely not obvious. Each pitch was fairly sustained and thought provoking. Just keep moving and trust that you'll find something....

The last pitch through the chimney definitely makes this a big-boy route! Props to the FA crew. Very runout, but the chimney gives you some security.

Comments: My new fav line on the Peak, but maybe I'm a little biased. I thought the crux was the off-width section at the start of our 3rd pitch.

Comments: This route is nowhere near three stars. Contrived line to CHIPPED holds. Compared to partners or apple, this is a bomb. Sorry man, but I couldn't recommend this climb to anyone.
