Comments: Climbing to the first bolt is fine. Big holds. First pitch has a strange bulging section near the top that will make you think a bit. One would not want to fall sending the roof on the second pitch. The bolt over the roof is out of sight and a fall here could lead to a nice smack on the ramp below. The holds over the roof are solid and the bolt is up there; of course by the time you get to it you don't really need it anymore. Ha!

Comments: The first and second pitch can be run together as one pitch and the rope drag is not that bad. Very different climbing than Living on the Edge and highly recommended.

Comments: Cloudwalker ascends the 5.8ish corner system past two obvious chain anchors (the lower one is close to the corner, the upper is out on the face). An additional anchor (two anchor bolts and a third bolt) sits about 160' up right about where the corner system ends. These are hard to see until you're right under them. The second pitch (unless you broke the bottom section into two pitches) ascends left from the top anchor and up a line of bolts up a steep face (5.10?) to the same tree ledge as th... more >>

Location: UT : Saint George : Snow Canyon State Park : Island In The Sky : Circus Wall : Barbarian (5.6 R)

Comments: As has been mentioned on the verticalcountry link, there is a line of bolts ascending the left side of the main Barbarian face on the second pitch. I believe this line is known as Just Deserts and begins by starting on the first pitch of Cloudwalker. There are still also the couple of pins from the original Barbarian line to clip if one wants to stay more to the right. The bolt line on pitch two of Just Deserts is well spaced and removes any "R" rating. The second pitch terminates on the big... more >>

Comments: Judging from the comments it looks like there are two possible starts to the route. T.G.'s guidebook starts the route on the left side of the wall in a chalked up right facing corner (same start as Gratitude) breaking left after two (maybe 3?) bolts and then heading up a crack to a sweet belay ledge with anchors hidden from the ground. Second pitch traverses to the right (obvious from belay and shown in photos of the route) and then up to the anchors. A single rope will get you up and down the... more >>

Comments: A 60m rope will get you down to a point that you can downclimb the slab to the ground, but if you want to top rope the route, a 70m or doubles would work much better.
