Comments: Yes Tim,
The double lines represent the main set of powerlines that run the length of the Promised Land. There are two dirt roads that branch off of the powerlines which are also represented by the double lines. The high voltage symbol is for the small fenced in electrical plant. The single line represents a small path that branches off of the main powerlines. I will work on a map for Sector Two which may have been more affected by recent development.

Comments: Yes on the slightly overhanging side with the graffiti on it. Falling into the abyss is a reality so either have a good spotter or be confident that you can boulder V5.

Comments: Tim,
This area is best in Winter.

Comments: Just when the trail turns right, head left into the woods for about 125 feet, keeping the ravine on your left and a short wall built into the hillside on your right. The original trail has probably grown in.

Comments: That is a FA to my knowledge. The other cave to the left of this one has a thin seam that starts all the way back sitting and traverses left all the way out onto the face for a couple moves and then ends due to its blankness. I will post that one up too. Probably V5 to the best of my memory.

Comments: There are actually two different approach trails. That said, we can agree that that is the front of the boulder in the picture, so I will can change my descriptions on the problems I posted so they make more sense. The V7+ problem you posted was done by Dave Sharratt years ago, and he called it V6. Not completely sure which cave route you did as two exist.

Comments: This problem is a little easier for taller climbers who don't have to make the first move.

Comments: Try new directions listed under the Tombstone Boulders. If that doesn't work, I can meet up with you and provide a tour. Let me know.

Comments: Sean,

That is Sandman. If I remember correctly, it top out above the start holds. I have changed it to V3 with the more natural exit you did.

They are indeed two different problems. Let me know if you want anything changed or switched around.

I thought it was V0 with the pedestal and V3 without it. Is that correct?

Comments: Jim,

That is right. The original version climbed as described. I also did the version you describe at a later date and agree that is easier, probably V5ish.

Comments: The V6 rating was the original straight-on beta. Easier beta has developed which puts the grade around V3+. Do it either way as you see fit.

Comments: Tony,

There are about 20-25 open projects in the Lynn Woods Area. All are in the double digit range. Send me a PM if you want to see some.

This is Shoreline Boulder #1, but I like your name and descriptions and photos better, so let's keep it as you have it and I will remove the Shoreline Boulder #1 listing.

Comments: Yes,
It is part of the Town Forest. I did look around and while there was certainly other rock there it was easy V0 or V1 type problems. This group of blocks was the best.

Comments: I just got a $15 ticket from the cops yesterday for parking in one of the designated two parking spots at the end of New Way Lane. They ticketed me for swimming in the water supply when in fact it was overcast and cool and I was actually putting up a few new boulder problems. I am planning to appeal the ticket.

Comments: Based upon our 7/21/13 trip, it looks like this area in under development with heavy equipment, blasting mats and extensive construction. The fate of these boulders appears to be in serious jeopardy.
